That is just one of the many favorited quotes about photography I know. However, this quote is more then just words; it holds a place in my heart. Who do you think a photographer is? Are they nothing more then just a walking camera, taking photos of strangers and trees? I'll tell you what I think.
I think that taking pictures is something our souls crave. There is something pure and innocent about taking photos. Whether it's from engagement sessions to nature; the photos are unaltered, almost naive in their beauty.
It could be as simple as a selfie or a family picture taken from your phone. That one simple photo mean so much to you doesn't it? Photographer's were brought to you to help you capture what mean's so much to you.
Photography to me is about bringing good energy and smiles together. Bringing harmony, laughter, love, and joy in just one simple photo. You take that laughter and all that love and you capture it, print it, and frame it. You cannot change it for it is pure and artless.
And so I capture two souls who have found each other in love and happiness. I capture a smile of a newborn child or a newly graduate, who are both entering the world in different ways, ready to conquer and grow. For I am blessed to have opportunities to take photos of something so great.
So can we come together, the photographer and photographed, as a family? And I can say, "The Beauty of Life Has Been Captured," and my job is done and my heart is full and the images are beautiful.
